Our Family Animals (more like my family animals)

Growing up I always wanted a dog!  My mom said when you get married you can have all the animals you want.  I did have a gold fish a time or too, my sister had hermit crabs, and our brother had a toad and a hamster.  Well we have one cat, one dog and a rabbit.  We have had several fish, 2 hermit crabs and turtle.  I would say I am a cat person all the way.  They are easy for the most part and we have been blessed with our cat.  I don't have to clean a liter box because he will go to the door to go out side.  He is declawed and fixed.   He loves to go outside and rule the hood.  My only problem with him is his schedule is the same as my alarm.  So if my alarm isn't set he doesn't understand that.  Danny hates the cat.  He hates everything about the cat.  He would get rid of him in a heart beat if I let him.  Me no way!  I would have another one at any time.

Then we have Delilah my little Shi Tzu.  I have a love/hate relationship with her. As she sits here next to me waiting for a piece of roast beef.   She was kind of bought on a whim.  My friend was getting one for her girls for Christmas and I got all caught up in it.  She is a super super good dog.  I dont' think I could get a better dog.  When she was younger and you would tell her it was night night she would go get into her crate and sleep all night.  Now if you ask her if she wants to go night night, she will put her paws up on Brookes ladder and wait for you to put her up on the bed and she will sleep up there all night.  She never ever barks!!!  She might bark randomly if you don't let her in after she used the restroom.  My issue with her is she has to be groomed about every 5 weeks, I always push that and go 8.  We haven't gotten her fixed so about every 6 months she has to wear panties and pads and I have to change those.  What a pain.  I hate it!!  Another thing was last year the only time we ever had trouble with fleas!! We hadn't had any trouble before and man last year I wasted so much money on all kinds of flea and tick brands.  This year we will start with a good one and not mess with it.  I almost had a break down over it I don't deal well with bugs of any kind, fleas, ants, ect.  Praying we don't have that issue this year or I might be in an institution.  She loves loves our cat and our rabbit.  She will clean both of them and loves to sit at the rabbits cage and just wait for him to come out and play with her.  It is a sight for sure.  Danny acts like he doesn't like her but I have seen him play with her and love on her.

Now our latest purchase is one I did not want.  I begged Brookie to change her mind for her bday.  But nope and I had no backing from my spouse on this one.  It's a rabbit it is easy.  Ha!! Brooke said she would take care of it and clean it's cage! Ha!!  I can't stand the rabbit, yes it is very cute to look at.  But his cage has to be cleaned every other day and it stinks.  Granted it only takes about 10 minutes  but still.  My husband said that is his favorite animal we have.  Easy and low maintenance.  WHATEVER! I cringe everytime I look at it.  I just cleaned his cage and put him out on the front porch for some fresh air.  Hence what prompted this blog post.

So some-days my mood varies on what my animals have done that day!!!  Ah animals and their personalities.

Sleep or Lack of-

I wasn't planning on posting today, but as I was cleaning my kitchen and watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta (yes I secretly wish I could flip a table over at a dinner party) and yes that is from another Real Housewives show, I also watch them all; I got to thinking about my sleep or lack of!!!!  Now I have friends that I am not sure how they do it!  They seem to hardly ever sleep and can function just fine.   Now me on the other hand I need sleep and lots of it too function.  It is on my top 10 list of important things even more important than my cell phone and social media.  I can lay down at anytime and take a nap.  My husband doesn't understand this at all.  He is one of those that can function on 5 hours of sleep.  I never had interrupted sleep with my two older children.  They can seem to sleep through anything.  Now my 9 year old has only slept through the night a handful of times.  She doesn't seem to need much sleep.  In her defense she does suffer form night terrors and anxiety.  We go through spurts where she will do good and then we have a rough spell.   Here recently she has also added what we think is sleep walking into the mix.  Two totally different events.  Her night terrors are scary.  She wants her mommy and daddy and gets sometimes a little physical by pushing me away.  If we can get her a couple of good drinks of water and make sure she is totally awake then we are good.  Her sleep walking is kind of random.  Last night she came to my side of the bed and leaned way over my face and said MOM!!!! Well I thought maybe a murderer was gong to get me.  (too many Criminal Minds episodes)  After I got my heart rate back down, I said what she said HI!!! I was like HI back.  Now go back to bed and she did!  It only took me about 30 minutes to calm down and get back to sleep.  What I find funny is my husband never missed a breath in his sleep.  How does this happen?  Or does he do what I do when on the rare occasion that she goes to his side of the bed.  Lay there and pretend to be asleep so he handles it.  bahahahaha  I always wake up, but sometimes I pretend I don't until I see what the issue is?  I wonder if any other moms ever pretend to be asleep?  I love my littlest to the moon and back, but these middle of the night trips are exhausting.  And yes we have tried Melatonin.  She does take an anxiety medicine that helps.  First one was at two, Dr. thought we would be done by 5, here we are going to be 10 in one week.  I see no end in sight, but what I do see is lots of naps!!!!   Random I know, but as I feel like a zombie today, I wanted to let others know if you see me out and I don't wave or acknowledge it may be because I am tired and not functioning on all cylinders.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

TIRED Crazy Mom of 3!!!

So, why not try and blog?!  Ummm, because I will probably not be very good at it.  Or my family will be mortified at some of what I post about them.  Or, be it I am a terrible speller, not that great at grammar! English class wasn't my best subject.  I could pull some report cards to verify that!  (though my kids think I was awesome at school)  To be honest I wanted to try and blog becasue I know there are mom's out there that experience or do things as a mom that they thought they would NEVER have to do !!!  We will get into some of those stories in another post.  I have to see how this is going to work before I post some of my stories about my 16 year old daughter!!!  Those are my best ones so far.  But to start let me tell you, when I googled images for my picture I about choked on my coffee, and let me say it takes a whole lot to shock me. I didn't become a Christian until I was in my 30's.  I have seen and done a lot, and it has made me who I am.  All I typed in was images of Mom's drinking coffee!!!! Ha don't ever type that in.  Some of the images that popped up were surprising to say the least.  I had to double check and make sure I hadn't typed in Naughty images of Mom's drinking coffee.

I am not sure how much I will blog.  Sometimes it may be once a day, once a week, etc.  Other times it may be multiple times a day!!  Some of the things that go on in this house would make a great comedy sitcom.  Believe me I can't make some of this stuff up!!! We often say that if our family was a reality show it would be a winner.  If you get offended easily or like to judge others then I suggest this be your only post you read because I can't promise anything from here on out!
